Top 5 Kid-Friendly Coffee Spots in Kamloops
This Doula/Mama loves coffee. Getting together with friends and chatting over a warm beverage is one of my favorite past times. I also spend a lot of time in coffee shops chatting with clients. So I have decided to put together a list of kid-friendly coffee spots in Kamloops, based on my experiences.
Sweet Home Cafe – Drop your little ones off in the supervised play space and have a coffee with your friends, or curl up in one of their comfy chairs and read a book while you sip your beverage of choice. Your tots will love this place as much as you do! Lots of work-at-home parents bring their computers and get some work done here while their little ones play. Sweet Home Cafe even offers drop-in daycare.
Lil Monkeys Treehouse – Let your kids run wild in the jungle-themed play area while you drink coffee from the cafe and watch or if you are feeling playful you can join them! There is a separate baby area as well.
The Art We Are Cafe– You won’t find a play area here, but there is a basket of toys and books to entertain young ones, high chairs, a change table, and a relaxed atmosphere at this local baby-friendly cafe. They even publicly support breastfeeding mothers. This is one of our favorite locations for coffee with kids and client meetings. Don’t forget to order one of their haystacks, BEST SNACK EVER.
Red Beard Cafe – Yummy fresh coffee and delicious cookies for the littles. Highchairs are available here as well. Probably my 2 favorite things about this place are that its a local shop (I love to support local when possible) and the lovely patio where I can sit in the summer and not worry if my noisy littles are disturbing others people.
Starbucks/Chapters– Who doesn’t love to grab a cup of coffee and browse through the aisles of a bookstore. Bring your little one, have a coffee, and leave with a new bedtime story!
Lizzie Bits Baby Co. – Ok this is actually not a coffee shop, but you can pick up your own coffee and get your friends to meet you down at this very friendly baby boutique. They have a “lounge” area in the back, where they encourage parents to bring their littles to play and to meet other families!
